New York {Day 1}

The day started out with a plane ride :) Of course, that is how we got there! Once we got to Newwark, NJ we had to catch the NJ transit into NYC. Here is the view from the tram.


This is Penn Station, otherwise known as 34th street station. Love how even the subways are decked out in Christmas decorations.

Once we switched trains to the 1 line, we got to our hotel, dropped the bags and headed out to see what we could see around our hotel. First stop: Zabar's, also the first place I bought my first souvenir, a dish towel and cookie scoop.

After shopping, we walked a few blocks and founda Yum-o Thai place called Land. We sat outside, seriously beautiful weather for November in NY. Then we hopped on the 1 line back towards downtown and walked around Times Square. Holla!




After that we decided we were tired, so back up to the 'upper West side' :)
