What I miss

I have been taking walks at night. I have been slowly trying to build up my endurance in lue of my up-coming work schedule (don't worry I am not going crazy, just picking up some shifts at INO) As I walk I think of some things I miss about Flagstaff, here are a few:

1. Ice cold water right out of the tap. Now mind you when I lived there this was SO annoying, I mean really, does water have to be that cold, but now...I just wish I could turn on the tap and drink some ice cold water....brr!

2. I miss the sound and smell of the pine trees.

3. The "K" club. One of my favorite things about Flag were the friends that my kids had. Keagan had the "K" club, Kallia, Kennedy, Kenna (ReKenna) and Keagan. She had lots of other friends too, but these 4 would play together all, the, time. My greatest sadness right now is watching Keagan and knowing that she is missing those friends. (and on a side note. Riley is missing his friends too...Hudson, Olivia, Mallory, Haley, Levi and Dayton)

4. I miss the park where I would let the kids play after school. I miss Keagan's school. I am sad that I don't get to visit with all the amazing Mom's while Keagan, Riley and Maddy would play.

There are things that I have noticed already that I love (and missed) about Kingman.

1. I CAN BAKE!!!! I can actually make a recipe and have it turn out! I can't tell you how nice it is not to have to tweak a recipe to have it turn out.

2. Friends. We (David and I) Have some really good friends here who have made coming back easy. We are enjoying being around them again.

3. When I take my walks there are little bunnies everywhere. I love little bunnies (My poor college roommates will tell you that I had one STINKY bunny named Nellie, that I couldn't bear to give up) (Kim, Angela and Amy.. thanks for putting up with stinky Nellie :) It's like Heavenly Father sent those cute little bunnies to put a smile on my face!

Things are working out here. We are making it work. David is hard studying for the DAT and I am getting into a routine that mainly involves playing with the kids. And My Mother-In-Law has gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome, she even cleared out 1/2 the pantry for all our food. All you know how much I love to cook and I am grateful that I am getting the chance to do that... daily!

When we left Kingman I missed the water coming out of the tap warm. Everytime I would go to wash my hands the water was ice cold and I would be shocked! I miss that warm water, so enjoy it for me!
