The Switch-a-roo

For the last year and 4 months our family of 5 have crammed ourselves into two bedrooms and one bath. Why you ask? WHO KNOWS!! We actually have three bedrooms and 2 and a half baths in our home.... makes no sense I know. Let me try to help you understand. Two bedrooms are on the top floor and the master is in the basement. We were nervous to be two floors away from the kids, so we crammed ourselves upstairs, then when we found out baby was on the way we just added the crib to our already stuffed room. As you can imagine we got tired of having at least 2 of the three kids end up in our room night after night, so this weekend we switched EVERYTHING around.

Here are the before and after pictures:

Before: Keagan and Riley's pig-pen (it really isn't right the amount of crap we shoved into a tiny room)

After: Riley's room and guest room when needed

Before: Our master bedroom/babyroom

(yes, that is a Maddy head sticking out of her crib in our old master bedroom)

After: The girls room!

Before: The guest room and Maddy's dresser

After: The master suite (whoo-hoo)

Needless to say this Mom is MUCH happier having her own space, and it's nice to have the changing table in the baby/girls room instead of in the dinning room.

This looks terrific, especially the shot of the Maddy head, peeking above the crib. Great work!

love,
Mom

A change like that always feels refreshing. Enjoy the "new" space.

It looks very nice. Way to go. I love feeling organized every once in a while. Do you actually still use a changing table? I only used it with my first and then we were all about the floor and beds. It took up too much room for no reason.
The house looks great!

I remember how far apart the master bedroom and the upstairs bedrooms were, and at the time I thought you guys had a great plan to stay close to the kiddos....but WHOO HOO is right! Nice job giving yourself some room. Is David working for O.J. now? I think Matt heard that he might have been hired on. Have the apps for next year gone out yet? Good luck!
